IT Support Technician:
Job Description
IT user support technicians are responsible for providing technical support, advice and guidance for internal/external users of IT systems and applications, either directly or by telephone, e-mail or other network interaction
Addressing hardware and software problems, diagnosing issues, and providing solutions.
Assisting internal and external clients with technical issues related to computers, networks, and software applications.
Setting up new hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and network devices.
Performing regular maintenance on computer systems, including updates, patches, and backups.
Keeping records of support requests, solutions provided, and maintaining technical documentation for future reference.
Educating users on how to use new technologies or software effectively.
Assisting with network configuration, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and maintaining network security.
Working with other IT staff to implement new systems or technologies and to improve overall IT service delivery.
Skills Required:
